(abc^2)^3

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

(abc^2)^3 (a^1b^1c^2)^3 (a^1)^3*(b^1)^3*(c^2)^3 (a^(1*3))*(b^(1*3))*(c^(2*3)) a^3b^3c^6 So (abc^2)^3 = a^3b^3c^6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is what I thought by my text gave the answer a^3b^3c^2?????

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

well the book is wrong since (c^2)^3 = c^6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[a ^{3}b ^{3}c ^{6}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(abc^2)^3 a^3b^3c^(2x3) a^3b^3c^6 (Whenever you have a power inside the parentheses and one outside, then you just multiply the two, as shown above.)
