So hetero is from the Greek "heteros" meaning different and homo from the Greek "homos" meaning same. Thus the answers are as follows: A. B B. A C. A D. B Because caramel, for example, is one uniform product (its golden brown, chewy state) it is homogeneous; it is a uniform mixture throughout. Chicken Pot Pie, on the other hand, consists of many different vegetables, chicken, gravy, and the crust. The pot pie can easily be separated into its individual pieces that make up the one pot pie, while the caramel you cannot separate (easily that is) its components.
