GOOGLE can answer all of your questions about linux. If you can not find the answer you are not searching correctly. Also, there are a bunch of linux forums where you can ask a less generic question hopefully.

Linux is good for scientific stuff and computer things but its not much of a media/entertainment machine unless it was specifically designed to do so such as a smartphone Android :)

remembered funny thing, I hear a lot from windows lovers that they would never use linux, but they are using it everyday in their android smartphone :DD
