The circumference is given by the equation C = 2πr The area of a circle is given by the equation A = πr^2 Approximating π as 3.14 and given r = 48 in, just plug in the numbers: C = 2(3.14)(48) = 301.44 in A = (3.14)(48)^2 = 7234.56 in^2

that looks soo wrong though.. the numbers are too big. radius is half of a circle right?

Radius is half the diameter. What I wrote above is correct if 48 is the radius. Is it maybe diameter instead?
