Hi, everyone! Have any of you done a 3-minute presentation?? My topic is about alcoholic father-child relationships that is related to my two novels: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and The Glass Castle. I'm just panicking because I don't know what to say/do for 3 MINUTES!! HEEELPPP!! D;

OpenStudy (espex):

Take a deep breath, three minutes is nothing, a drop in the bucket once you start talking. The last two presentations I had to do were 15min and 12min respectively. I would suggest you try reminding yourself that everyone in the room is feeling as much, or more, anxiety as you are. To help formulate what you are going to say you should first write a thesis statement to clearly line out your topic. Once you have clearly defined what it is you want to say then you can move on to supporting your thesis and then a conclusion. Practice it in the mirror a couple times to help fine tune the presentation and you will most likely see that you are having to prune it down to stay within the three minutes.

Okay. I'll think about that. And alright (yn) Thank you!! Wish me luck!! ahhh!

OpenStudy (espex):

Good luck.
