For my speech class, I have to do a debate about the high school graduation requirements. I'm am the instigator (for it), and am curious as to what would be interesting to be my main topics. What would you like to hear about if you had to listen to this debate? Middle schools not preparing students enough for high schools? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
You are making an assumption that high schools do an adequate job of preparing the child. :)
I at least have to act like they do, regardless of the truth of the matter or not.
Fair enough. If I were instigating, as opposed to watching, I would probably present an argument around the fully developed child graduation requirements produce. Support that with some examples of higher paying jobs, more "well rounded" relationships, both romantic and platonic. Perhaps add in there to show how a more educated society is more utopian and thus better for all involved.
I really like that outlook on this. Thank you very much for the feedback. I will do my best to use your ideas in the best manner and to not disappoint. Once again, thank you.
No prob.
