anyone who takes upper level math courses..........
find a pair of vectors that span the subspace x+y-2z=0
i know the answer is (1,-1,0) and (2,0,1) but HOW do i get this without just guessing (what i did)

Choose any x and y, then solve for z. That will form a vector which span that subspace.
