What reaction would take place if the hot tungsten was surrounded by air? (not the chemical equation)

Tungsten in its pure, elemental form is very resistive to oxidation.

However, at higher temperatures, I would imagine the tungsten would form an oxide of tungsten. Most commonly WO3
