@Mathematics Debbie finds an old manual television in her grandfather's basement. She notices the numbers on the dial are not evenly spaced and determines there is an exponential relationship. She finds an equation that models the the number of clicks she has to turn the dial (x) to the television station she ends up on (y): y = 2(1.2599)x. If she turned the dial 25 clicks, what station would she end up on? Does this make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

clicks = x therefore x= 25 plug and solve in to y(x)=2(1.2599)x

make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm multiplying the two?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, you're taking the power

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're using the equation however they gave it to you. the main thing is that x=25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Fronklin do I plug in 25 into the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You don't multiply, you have to take the power.
