What is the Y-intercept of the linear equation represented by this table?
\[X/ 75,100,125,150 Y/522,697,872,1047\]
I am pretty sure that I need to graph it. Then they ask for intercept, equation, table.
I do not remember how to get the equation
What is the equation?
I need to get the equation after I plot the points for X and Y
Can u post the real problem?
it is on the 1st post i did
Can u post a photo or something?
b/c this isnt clear.. sorry.
that ok, I knew it would not make since. The problem was given on graph paper. The X's and Y's are in the column (beside each other) X Y 75 522 100 697 125 872 150 1047 hope this helps. Then in says "What is the Y-intercept of the linear equation represented by this tabled?
Awesome..
by this table? (sorry)
i get it now.. So u have to find the equation, graph it and the intercepts?
yes!!
I know how the graph it, just don't remember how to get the intercept (Y) and the equation.
Alright, to find the equation, find the slope first..
\[slope= \frac{697-522}{100-75}\]\[Slope = \frac{175}{25}\]\[Slope = 7\]
Equation = y = 7x-3
What is the equation to get the 697-522/100-75 Like M1-M2 or something like that. How did you know to pick those numbers
we can pick any two pairs.. then use the formula \[Slope = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x2-x_1}\] to find the slope
ok that helps ALOT Thank You
x int = 3/7 y = -3
