1. Find the value of x so that the line passing through the points will have the given slope: (x, 6) and (10, -3) with a slope of -3/2. A. -13 B. 4 C. 13 D. -12

Equation of a line: \[y(x) = mx + b\]Where y is a function of x, "m" is the slope and "b" is the y-intercept. We're given the slope. So, we just have to find "b"--the y-axis-intercept--to find the complete equation of the line. We can plug-in the complete point we're given: (10,-3) to solve to find "b" in our equation for the line. From there, we can find what value of x will generate the y value of 6 by setting our completed equation for a line equal to 6 and solving for x.
