OpenStudy (mef4.0):

find dy/dx f(x) = tan^4x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d/dx(tan^(4 x^2)(x)) = 4 x tan^(4 x^2)(x) (2 log(tan(x))+x csc(x) sec(x)) That's what you get when you differentiate what you typed, are you sure you haven't made a typo because that seems like a ridiculous value.

OpenStudy (mef4.0):

sorry. it was \[f(x) = \tan ^{4}x ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tan4(x2) 4tan(x^2) 4sec^2(x^2) 8sec^2(x)
