Explain Client-Side Callback system in ASP .NET. I am not getting heads or tails of it.

hmmm I'm not famialr with ASP.NET but if i were to use what I do know I would say a script from the server calls the client and the client responds with some data. I do this allot in FLASH with PHP. This is just an example and may not apply to ASP.NET
