A longitudinal wave of wavelenght 12m has a frequency of 40Hz. What is its speed? On entering a different medium its speed doubles. What happens to: (i)its frequency (ii)its wavelenght?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Speed = 12*40 = 480 m/s Sorry, but I'm not sure how to calculate frequency and wavelength if speed doubles.

=/

when it become faster, wave length become shorter, frequency increase, i think wavelength will be half and frequency will be twice, not very sure

other way around
