JAVA is very popular programming language so if you want to be programmer you should definitely learn JAVA (basics is not enough)

Become advanced in multiple languages. Then again, I've always thought the way to do that is to actually write code, and that's likely to happen in the AI class. So I'd go for AI. It'll help you expand your mind, too. If you really want to learn Java, write programs in it. It's the only way ;)
