OpenStudy (anonymous):

A) State Newtons first law of motion B) Describe an example of a situation which represent Newtons first law of motion C) Explain, in terms of the the principle of physics involved, why it is dangerous to drive a car without wearing a seatbelt

OpenStudy (espex):

That last one is funny.

OpenStudy (espex):

The first law of motion is: A object in motion will stay in motion until acted upon by an external force. A situational example could be a thrown baseball when hit by a bat (if you were in space or ignoring air friction and gravity). The last part is because when the car stops there is no force acting upon you to stop you and so you keep moving. :)
