I just joined and am installing Python and just thought I'd ask if using http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.5.6/ this version will be ok since 2.5.4 isn't actually available on the Python website?

Yeah, sure. Anything ranging from 2.4 to 2.7 should work fine. Just avoid 3.x, and it will be fine :-)

I have been using 2.7.2 the latest release of 2.7 and it works fine on all the lessons so far.

In case you're set on using 2.5.4, it can be found on the website but you have to do some digging. The link for it is actually on the 2.5.6 download page and can be found here: http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.5.4/
