As energy is changed from one form to another, is any energy lost? Explain.

OpenStudy (trancenova):

According to the law of conservation of energy no energy is lost form the system. But not all energy is converted to one form to another - some is "lost" as other forms of energy. (for example in photosynthesis light energy is converted to chemical energy however some is lost as heat energy). However that energy isn't technically 'lost' as it is dissipated into the atmosphere.
