A spring is stretched to a length L1 = 22 cm by a force of F1 = 5 N. The same spring requires a force of F2 = 10 N to be stretched to a length of L2 = 30 cm. Spring constant: .625 N/cm. Unstretched length of spring: 14 cm. (c) One end of the spring is now attached to a brick wall and the other end to a 2.5 kg wood block resting on a surface. The coefficient of static friction between the wood and the surface is μs = 0.4. What is the farthest distance (D) that the block can be moved from the wall without sliding caused by the pull of the stretched spring?
