Subtract and simplify if possible:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3x+4 \over x+2 \] - \[x+3 \over x+2\]

OpenStudy (turingtest):

\[{3x+4\over x+2}-{x+3\over x+2}\]right? since the denominators are the same we can just add across

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that is the problem for the question ! I just don't know how to get the - right in between the two problems

OpenStudy (turingtest):

so do\[3x+4-(x+3)\over x+2\]then simplify that

OpenStudy (ash2326):

denominator is same for both polynomial fractions (3x+4)/(x+2)-(x+3)/(x+2) (3x+4-x-3)/(x+2) 2x+1/x+2
