x + y - z = 0 3x - y + z = 4 5x + 0y + z = 7 is the answer (4, 13, 4)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dosent appear to be so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of course not...

before even posting this question, you have have inserted those values, into any one of those equations and seen that those answer would not work: exp. x + y - z = 0 4+13-14=3 not 0

oh.. that would have made sense.. but i just don't know what i did wrong, because in the first equation, y and z cancel out, but you cant cancel y out in the 2nd equation unless you multiply by 0. is that was i was supposed to do?
