If the measure of each exterior angle of a regular polygon is 18°, determine how many sides the polygon has.<--- no clue how to do this one any ideas?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Did we not just say the the sum of the exterior angles is 360?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but what does that have to do with this problem?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

No moneybird. You are incorrect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just divide it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20 side

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If each exterior angle is 18 and all of them together is 360 then there must be 20 of them since 20 times 18 is 360. Now if there are 20 exterior angles, how many sides do you suppose there are?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

360/18=20 sides?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

360/ n = 18 360 = 18n n = 20

OpenStudy (mertsj):
