The contrapositive of the statement “If the angles are alternate interior angles, then the angles are congruent” is “If the angles are not congruent, then the angles are not alternate interior angles” true or false.. i wud say false again .but what do you guys think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think you should do your homework, and look up words you don't know.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think that is true. "if A then B"'s contrapositive is "If not B, then not A"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am doing it? im just checking with other people i need to get a good grade on this ..so better to be safe then sorry!..you dont have to reply to my post @truman

OpenStudy (chriss):

You are using an if p then q model. Contrapositive means that you would show that you assume not q and then show that means not p. Thus your example would be true.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

contrP means: flip and negate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh i see thanks

OpenStudy (farmdawgnation):

Truman, knock it off with the attitude and please be more polite to other users. There's no reason to berate an asker. Thanks!

OpenStudy (amistre64):
