What is the equation of the line?..please help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

find ur slope and ur y int u will be good to go

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

y=2x-2

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

eq of line: y=mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

choose any two points of the line. find the slope. then use the equation y-y1 = m(x - x1)

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

since y-intercept is -2 : y = mx -2

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

since for every increase in x by 1 y increases by 3: \[y=3x-2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so chose any two points to find the slope?

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

yep

OpenStudy (karatechopper):

oops i messed up its y=3x-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you very much!
