A certain business has implemented a new incentive plan whereby an employee earns tokens for every sale they make. For 1 sale, an employee earns 1 token. For 2 sales, an employee earns 6 tokens. For 3 sales, an employee earns 12 tokens. For 4 sales, an employee earns 19 tokens. Which recursive equation represents the pattern?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

between sales 1 and 2 we added 5 tokens between 2 and 3 we added 6 tokens between 3 and 4 we added 7 tokens so every additional sale increases the amount of extra tokens received by 1. Not sure if the recursion patter they want is for the number of tokens received, but if it is, this should be enough to answer your question.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

An = An-1 + (n+3)

OpenStudy (turingtest):

\[A_n=A_{n-1}+(n+3)\]just to write it in latex
