Hi you can ask this type of question in Biology :) You can search the conservation status of a species on here http://www.iucnredlist.org/ You'll find that the gray whale is of status "least concern" and the Caribbean monk seal is extinct (so it could be either gray whale or the seal). It just depends on when the question was made.. the Caribbean monk seal was endangered in 1982 while the gray whale has always been ranked 'lower' than endangered.
