I guess heat transfer is the best answer up there but if you can explain it say something about the heat transfer forcing a phase change.

It is heat transfer, heat transferred to the liquid causes the water molecules to vibrate rapidly causing their intermolecular interactions to break up which converts the water into a gas. Heat is just kinetic movement of particles.
