I've now seen two people who thought they were in the CS group and ended up posting in the Mathematics group. They may have both just not realized how the drop-down group menu works, but I thought I'd mention it on the off chance it ends up actually being an issue...

that has happened to me before. i am in one group at one  moment then when i post the question, im in a different group!

It is *in theory* possible that the messages from the server got repeated or messed up. Like shadowfiend said, we'll see if we can find anything that's causing it. :)
