How to start of a conclusion for a lab report?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are you writing about? I had a project and this was my conclusion... I concluded that the olive oil to the longest to travel up the celery stalk and that the water was the fastest substance to travel up the celery stalk. So my hypothesis ended up being correct. This is because I figured that olive oil would be to thick to be absorbed and that capillary action would not be able to take place with this particular substance. I also understood that water is a natural resource and that when water is in the ground under a leaf the leaf ends up being wet. This is because capillary action took place. My project was a complete variable project.

OpenStudy (earthcitizen):

a conclusion is simply a short summary of the experiment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"The olive oil taking the longest.." info is actually an observation. The conclusion is that thick subtances such as olive oil are too thick to be readily moved by capillary action.

start by what it is about and what u lurned

Thank you very much

The conclusion should be a restatement of your observations, any evidence/data you collected, and the science behind how you arrived at whatever your conclusion is. Something like: "Based on (these observations and this data), I concluded X because of the scientific principle Y."
