Identify the initial amount a and the growth factor b in the exponential function. g(x) = 800 * 2.7^x Is it A or B? A. 2.7, 800 B. 800, 2.7
Please tell me why it's the answer as well.
b is what i'm thinking
What is your reasoning?
I'm thinking about the formula a=p(1+rt) where p is principle and the rest is the growth factor. Then their is anothing interest formula thats raised to a power but the principle is still in the same spot so i'm guessing that this is going to follow the same pattern.
let x = 0, then we have y = 800; thus, 800 is the initial amount. Then as x increases, y increases by a factor of 2.7, the growth factor.
is it pairs of a,b for answer choices? otherwise why does the orders of the answer matter? meverett is right, whatever order the answers are in...
Thank you, guys. I appreciate the help.
