Yes. As long as the sum of any two sides is greater than the third side, it's a triangle. I swear I answered this exact question recently...?

12 + 34 > 40 34 + 40 > 12 12 + 40 > 34 so the following sets of numbers can create a triangle

take the two smaller sides and add them up 12 + 34 or 46 is this larger than the third side? yes? then yes it can be a triangle
