what is a number less than 3?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

start counting from zero and ask yourself "is this less than three?"

OpenStudy (turingtest):

why is this here 3 times? forward and backwards?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

q-3

myininaya (myininaya):

turin...

OpenStudy (turingtest):

well this one I interpreted as "name a number that is less-than x" but the others...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it was an inequality it would be greater than or less than

OpenStudy (turingtest):

I think they are zbays answer

OpenStudy (turingtest):

sorry "name a number that is less-than 3" was how I thought of this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or greater than or equal to or less than or equal to

myininaya (myininaya):

i thought he was asking how two write "a number less than 3"

OpenStudy (turingtest):

That makes sense...

myininaya (myininaya):

k <3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think he is workign on picking numbers and aglebraic operations out of word problems

myininaya (myininaya):

you are probably right

myininaya (myininaya):

like the recent one who posted that is for surely not inequality

myininaya (myininaya):

so zbay wins

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me bask in the glory of this it doesn't happen often

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay Me!... ok i'm done now

myininaya (myininaya):

lol

OpenStudy (turingtest):

The other one seems a question on expression of a term. this one seems different to me than the other "what is three less than a number" is different than "what is a number less than three"? I don't think we can rely on the wording. I think they meant to post the same question 3 times

myininaya (myininaya):

i actually think this one is 3-k

OpenStudy (turingtest):

for both questions?

myininaya (myininaya):

the last one is k-3

myininaya (myininaya):

the most recent one is 3-x

myininaya (myininaya):

whatever variable you choose to use

OpenStudy (turingtest):

got it lilwaynz? these are your answers, so read 'em!
