I need to create a metaphor and I want to base it humanity in relation to the personality. More like the philosophy of Sigmund Freud. Something that is a BAM ! that will catch the eye and says a lot about the world as a WHOLE & the human species.

Relate the ant world to the human world. Lots of similarities, and lots of differences; such as the lack of jealousy in their community, but existing competition. While the humans have destroyed the meaning of competition and not compare it with jealousy.

human beings, hmm we kill innocent babies by the thousands everyday, just rip them from their mother's womb, and we fight for our legal right to be able to do that because after all the baby's life doesn't matter and they get no choice because it is all about the woman's choice; yet we would almost give our lives to saving the whales (no offense to any whales who may be reading).  I think this in itself says much about humans.
