write short note on (with draw) Endoplasmic Reticulum (E.R)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why don't you do that and post it here, and when I come back I counter-read it for you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is an organelle of cells in eukaryotic organisms that forms an interconnected network of tubules, vesicles, and cisternae. Rough endoplasmic reticula synthesize proteins, while smooth endoplasmic reticula synthesize lipids, steroids and morphine, metabolize carbohydrates and steroids (but not lipids), and regulate calcium concentration, drug metabolism, and attachment of receptors on cell membrane proteins. Sarcoplasmic reticula solely regulate calcium levels.

OpenStudy (aroub):

I have a simple answer: ( hope it helps! ) The endoplasmic reticulum is a network of canals and tubes running throughout the cytoplasm. It transports substances from one part of the cell to another.
