What part of the questions is confusing you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first work in side the parentheses, and remove the absolute value sign. since \[|-1|=1\] you get as a first step \[(-8+1)\div(-1)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you have two more steps. again work inside the parentheses. then divide your result by -1 and you will be done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@No-data I just always mess up the order of it it's grade 9 math by the way

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-8 + |-1|) ÷ -1 = [ -8 + 1 ] ÷ -1 = -7 / -1 = 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still don't get it, could someone explain it in words? :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?? plzz :)
