Mark has saved 150 quarters in a jar. Of that total, 25 were minted before 1970, 35 were minted between 1970 and 1980, and the remaining quarters were minted after 1980. If Mark picks a quarter out of the jar without looking, what is the probability that he will pick a quarter minted after 1980?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

The total number of outcomes is 150. The number minted after 1980 is 150-25-35 or 90. So the probability of picking a quarter minted after 1980 is 90/150 or 3/5
