https://courses.vlacs.org/vlacontent/geometry_v8_gs//assessments-xml/res0078/04_16_32.gif I just want confirmation that line AB is altitude...
Any more information available? I do not believe there is enough information. In order to be an altitude, it needs to be perpendicular to the respective side.
I only have that AB is a line, and that it has to be altitude, perpendicular bisector, angle bisector, or median.
Ah this is the information that we needed, the picture has the answer it is not an altitude and we do not know if it is perpendicular it is ..... do you know?
Hint: What does it cut in half?
angle bisector?
Yes! You got it. Notice in the picture that the angles have the same mark; therefore, they are equal.
oh wait no its a median cuz it cuts the triangle in half...right?
Not the median, we do not know anything about the sides ...
so its angle bisector.
Yes! You got it. Notice in the picture that the angles have the same mark; therefore, they are equal.
ahhh ok thank you!!!
