Which of the following is true of physical properties? Physical properties include properties like mass, color and flammability. Physical properties cannot be observed without changing the identity of the material. Physical properties include properties like density, melting point and ductility. Physical properties describe the potential for the material to undergo a reaction. Any help will be greatly appreciated..

OpenStudy (jfraser):

- can't be choice #1, because it includes flammability, which is a chemical property - can't be choice #2, because changing the identity of a material is the definition of a chemical change - can't be choice #4, because "the potential to undergo a reaction" describes a chemical change - has to be choice #3, because properties like density, melting point, ductility, (as well as solubility, boiling point, phase at RT), can all be measured without changing the nature of the material, and are all physical properties
