Just getting started here -- there is some mention of a "handout" explaining use of the python gui. Anybody know where I can find that handout? Thanks.

i think i found the answer, here: http://docs.python.org/tutorial/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

click on video lectures, under the videos there is a tab related resources you will find the pdf of the hand out there also you will find the full transcript of the lecture.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

click on the video you want the get the hand put for and then click on related resources.

Huh. I must be blind...I select "video lectures," then first lecture, and don't see a "Related resources" tab.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first video lecture does not have a hand out, if you check the second one you will see the resources tab. I did the same thing.

The python GUI is called IDLE. Here's a YouTube video which explains the difference between the Python Shell and IDLE environments: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXbpB5_ywDw IDLE comes with the Python install.
