What is the equation of the line tangent to the graph of y= x + e^x at x = 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

at x=0 y=1. so the tangent passes through this point. to find the slope of the line use differential calculus dy/dx is the slope dy/dx = 1 + e^x at x= 0 dy/dx = 2 so the equation of line is y = 2x + c c can be found by substituting (0,1) in the equation.
