OpenStudy (anonymous):

Question 11?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all of them :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay let's start with 11, can you tell me the symbols between BC,DE and EF. I can't read them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

between bc, is 6 and de is 4and ef is 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[CB=6, DE=4, EF=7, BA=?\] \[\frac{CB}{BA}=\frac{DE}{EF}\]\[\frac{6}{BA}=\frac{4}{7}\] \[6=\frac{4BA}{7}\]\[BA=\frac{6*7}{4}\] \[BA=10.5\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does this make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeahh it makes more sence

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you want to have a go at Q12 and I'll check it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeahh that sounds great ill write back when im finnished

OpenStudy (anonymous):

xw/xv = yw/zv 12/5 = 24/zv 24 = 12zv/5 zv = 5 x 24/12 zv = 10 is thatttt allright?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's really close but see it says xv so you have to add xw and wv so xv=12+5=17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

other than that the rest of the working is perfect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay! will you help me with the rest?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure, the reason that question was xv because xvz and xwy are the same shape only smaller. so you see that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what question next 15?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i seen what i did wrong and yeah ! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay question 15 is abit different \[\frac{a}{3}=\frac{c}{4}\] if i wanted to add 3 to both sides and write it as one fraction what would I get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{a}{3}+3=\frac{c}{4}+3\] What do I have to do to write both sides as one fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk it just says find the unknown lenth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh are we doing 16. then it's exactly the same as we did before.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay did you want to have a go first?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how'd you go?
