I have read the Wikipedia's explanation but i still don understand how the induced electromagnetic field push the current to the surface of a conductor in skin effect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first how does the forward and fro current in AC create electromagnetic field? and how is the electromagnetic field created push the current to the surface of the conductor?

Let me try to explain. If we pass a current through a conductor, we generate a magnetic field. (See Induction) The magnetic field generated follows the right hand rule. Additionally, magnetic fields moving through a conductor generate eddy currents. These eddy currents also follow the right hand rule. The eddy currents cancel the current the current in the center and amplify the current towards the outside. |dw:1325579986433:dw|
