tell whether this is a ellipse, circle, parabola, or hyperbola. 4x^2-x^2+4=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH YA..and explain and graph it..

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

It can't be a circle, because there's no y values. It can be a parabola, if you collect the like terms, 3x^2 + 4 = 0 I have a feeling that there's a typo :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Should it be -y^2?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

for y= 4x^2-x^2+4 Its a parabola! |dw:1325642931400:dw|
