I don't really have anything to ask relating to this particular class, but I want the achievement. So.... What is a good class to 'take' after this one?
Harvard's CS50, Stanford CS106A, are good places to look into. I would strongly recommend to you that both are incredible good, but Harvard's is quite life-changing, at least it was for me, meeting C and the interesting world that came with it :-)
Links to both please? I am quite lazy with Google, haha
cs50.tv for Harvard's, and CS106A is on youtube, just type CS106A Stanford and it will be the first playlist to come out :-)
however, all are simply introductory computer science... so if you've feel that MIT's 6.00 was enough of an introduction to computer science (and maybe 6.001), then I suggest going deeper into stuff like algorithms and data structures, programming methodology, etc. and then on to specific domains like machine-learning/AI, databases, software engineering, etc.
Do Harvard & Stanford also offer classes on Python? I'm starting with this class since it's been 4 years since college and I figured I should refresh my memory on this stuff....and I HATED learning Java.
I'm afraid Harvard's CS50 teaches teaches introductory computer science using C, PHP, HTML, and Javascript, whereas http://cs101-class.org will be teaching introductory computer science using Java.
Well that's a shame :(
