can anybody help me? when and on what field does the knowledge of inequality is useful?
maybe LINEAR PROGRAMMING?
i want certain answer.
Inequalities play a crucial role in our lives, many of us might not realize it but apparently we use them everyday! For Example: Let's say I have "at most" $100 in my pocket. I want to buy 2 pairs of shoes that are $40 each, but I also want to buy as many pairs of tights I can that cost $4 each. How can I figure out how many tights I can buy?? Inequality!! "at most" means I have $100 or less in my pocket, which is our less than or equal to inequality sign, and I can set up an inequality statement that helps me figure out how many pairs of tights I can buy: <_ means: less than or equal to 2($40)+($4)n <_ $100 We can solve this problem by solving the inequality for n, and figure out that we can buy up to 5 pairs of tights (I am ignoring tax in this example, but you get the idea).
