Can we remove the blocking of the word g a y?

First of all, it's causing us some problems in Physics right now as we can't discuss or link to external resources about the G a y - Lussac Law.

Second, I am g a y; I really don't it's a derogatory word in today's society, any more than Black or African-American is. If people make defamatory comments using g a y as a class of people, that's another thing. But there's nothing negative about the word, per se.

Fair point JamesJ - we'll take a look at that. We'll get back to you with an answer on that. Any filtering system is going to have exceptions, the issue is figuring out the most logical way to protect users (especially younger ones) while not interfering with functionality. I totally agree. That is not a bad word. If I were g a y, I would feel about the censorhip of the word.
