I'm not sure I understand the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Weird way to teach regrouping or borrowing.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would rename 1 one 3 tenths as 13 tenths to subtract 9 tenths

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you subtract that number is 1.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't the answer about the rename

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

1.34 - 0.9 = 0.44 not 1.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u help me

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

@cazil - I /think/ I now see what the question is asking, but I would expect the answer to be: rename 1 zero, 3 tenths as 13 tenths to subtract 9 tenths

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so ur saying its B

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

no - I'm saying the answer I /think/ it is does not seem to be one of the choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rename 1 one 3 tenths as 13 tenths. I think that is trying to say Rename (one 1) and (3 tenths) as 13 tenths. Very confusing wording though.

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

ah - I see - thx for clarifying @cazil. in that case @partyrainbow276 - the answer is indeed B as @cazil indicated

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

hope you understood how the answer was calculated @partyrainbow276
