Actually, I disagree with MetalPen. It's d) Joe deals more honestly than his partner. This one you can solve through process of elimination. A) wonderfulest isn't a word. So that's obviously out. B) More better is not proper English, so that's also obviously out. C is tricky. Usually, shortest is correct, but in this case, he is one of two. The ending "e s t" is usually used with a group 3 or more. Therefore it should be "He's the shortER of the twins." Thus, d is correct.
I agree with lperkows, the correct answer is D. Shouldn't use the superlative (shortest) with just two (twins). That's really tricky and requires taking into account more than just the grammar!
