Pay attention in class. Concentrate on the material for its own intrinsic interest, not in the interest of getting a good grade when you're evaluated on it.

Stage 1: Prepare before class:Read ahead for the next class. Make a note of any questions. Ask questions in class.
Stage 2: During Class: Pay attention (Blues says) Go to the teacher after class and get your questions answered.
Stage 3: After Class When class is done, review the material covered, make sure you have no questions. Work through problems. MAke a note of what you don't understand, ask some one to explain it.
