OpenStudy (mathmate):

What is WXY? Is it the area, a length or an angle? WZ is a length?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wz is something idk i guess it has to similar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be a midsegment

OpenStudy (mathmate):

WZ is the distance from the vertex to the centroid Z. What's not clear is WXY. Would it be possible to check for typos?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

WXY is the triangle it says r would it equal zk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe this lacks some values.

OpenStudy (mathmate):

ok, I got it. WXY is not part of the unknown! The distance of Z from a vertex is twice the distance from the side along a median. So WZ is just twice ZK, so WZ=8.
